The Sea Tanglers are semi-aquatic creatures who come up onto the islands to sunbathe on the rocks during the warmer weather. They are placid and inquisitive creatures who can’t resist the lure of a sandwich from a picnic, a shiny pen or part of a bathing suit hanging out to dry on a washing line. They mean no harm.
Due to their mossy coats, they are hard to spot when reclining on the lichen-covered rocks or relaxing in a rock pool. Next time you visit the archipelago be careful not to accidentally step on one!
